donation in PM Cares, Azim Premji's Wipro Group to spend 1125 crore itself in
battle with Corona

who is the chairman of Wipro Limited.
He is informally known as the Czar of the Indian IT Industry. He was
responsible for guiding Wipro through four decades of diversification and
growth to finally emerge as one of the global leaders in the software industry.
Azim
Premji's Wipro Group has announced to spend Rs 1125 crore in dealing with
Corona, but the group has not asked to donate this amount to PM Cares Fund. The
group will spend this amount through its foundation. It will be implemented by
a team of 1600 employees of Azim Premji Foundation.
On
the plea of PM Modi to donate for the war from Corona, the corporate world
has come out openly and many thousands of crores of rupees have been raised in
the PM Cares Fund. Meanwhile, Azim Premji's Wipro group has announced to spend
Rs 1125 crore in dealing with Corona, but the group has not asked to donate
this amount to the PM Cares Fund. The group will spend this amount through its
foundation.

did the company say
The
Wipro Group issued a statement on Wednesday, stating, "Wipro Limited,
Wipro Enterprises and Azim premji Foundation will together spend Rs 1125 crore
in view of the unprecedented health and humanitarian crisis arising out of
Kovid — 19. This money will be used to increase humanitarian aid, health
facilities in the affected areas. It will be implemented by a team of 1600
employees of Azim Premji Foundation.
According
to the company, out of this Rs 1125 crore, 100 crore rupees, Wipro Limited, 25
crore rupees will be given by Wipro Enterprises and 1000 crore rupees by Azim
Premji Foundation.
A
new donation fund has been created in the name of PM
Significantly,
on Saturday, PM Modi announced the formation of PM Cares Fund to help fight the
corona virus and called on the countrymen to donate more and more to combat the
corona.

this, there was competition from corporate to film stars to donate to this
fund. The Tata group announced a total donation of Rs 1500 crore. Reliance
Industries has announced to give 500 crore rupees in it. Apart from this, Adani
Group, Vedanta Group, Paytm, Jindal Group, etc. have announced to donate
hundreds of crores of rupees in it, if you talk about big corporate groups.

reports of Azim Premji giving large sums of money to this fund were going viral
on social media, but now the company has issued a statement that it will make
it clear that it will work on its level to compete with Corona and spend a
large amount of money.
