SHRIRAM NAVMI THE BRITH DAY OF PRABHU SHRIRAM


Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shriram was born on Tretayuga on Navami date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, hence every year celebrates this date as Ram Navami or Rama Janmotsav. This year Ram Navami will be celebrated on Thursday, April 02. On this day, the festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated with full enthusiasm throughout the country including Ayodhya. Lord Shri Hari Vishnu took Rama incarnation at the house of Dasaratha, the Maharaja of Ayodhya at Tretayuga for the slaughter of Ravana. His elder wife Kaushalya gave birth to Rama. Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna, the other three brothers of Lord Rama, were born from the womb of Mata Kaikeyi and Mata Sumitra respectively.

Ram Navami is special this time
This year Ram Navami is also special because it falls on Thursday. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on Thursday and Lord Rama is an incarnation of Vishnu.

Ram Navami Puja Muhurta
This year, the Navami date of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month is starting from 03:40 AM on Thursday, April 02, 2020, which is 03:43 AM on Friday, 03 April 2020. On this day, auspicious time of Ram Navami midday is being made for 02 hours 30 minutes. On this day, you can celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Rama in auspicious time from 11:10 in the morning to 01:40 minutes.

Ram Navami fast and method of worship
On Ramnavami, first of all, get up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes. After this, offer Roli tilak to the idols of Lord Rama, Mother Sita and Laxman ji, then after offering rice, flowers, bells and conch to Lord Shri Rama, duly worship Lord Rama. Chant the mantras of Shri Ram, read Ramayana and recite Ramcharitmanas. In the end, perform the aarti of everyone. On this day, swing the shrimp to Lord Shri Ram and donate wheat and millet to a poor person or a Brahmin.

Retire from bathing in the morning of Navami date and wear clean clothes. Then install the idol, idol or picture of Lord Shri Ram at the place of worship. It would be very good if you have an idol or picture of Ramji's childhood. Now take the resolution of Ram Navami fast. After this, anoint them with the Ganges water.

Then worship Lord Shri Ram with intact, roly, sandalwood, incense, odor etc. After this, offer them basil leaf and lotus flower. Offer seasonal fruits also. Offer home-made sweet dish. Now read Ramcharitmanas, Ramayana and Ram Rakshastotra. After this, perform the aarti of Lord Rama. During the puja, cradle his idol for some time. After the puja is over, distribute the prasad among the people. Offer donations to the Brahmin. People keeping the fast should perform fruits throughout the day.

Lord Rama is called the seventh avatar of Vishnu. Not only this, Lord Shri Ram is considered a symbol of dignity. He is known as Purushottam, the best man. It is believed that Lord Rama was born on the day of Ram Navami. Therefore special poojas and havan are done in homes on this day.

On this day Chaitra Navratri also ends and mother Durga is bid farewell. Navratri will be celebrated on Dashami date on 2 April. Fasting and havan of Navami will be done on Thursday 02 April. On Thursday, Navami Tithi will be celebrated on the birth anniversary of Shri Ram Chandra ji. Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya under King Dasharatha. Reciting the Ramcharit Manas on this day is also considered very good. On this day, Bhagwan is bathed with panchamrit.

Special events are held on this day in Ayodhya, Rameswaram and Sitamarhi Bihar, but this time all shrines are closed due to corona virus and lockdown. Lord Rama had spent fourteen years of his exile and during this time he established religion by killing Ravana. It is believed that keeping fast on this day brings all kinds of happiness and prosperity in life.
